SpicetoberFest is a free fall food festival built around spicy food, held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 11 am to 6 pm on Boston City Hall Plaza. It is the festival's second year, and it is part of the City Hall Plaza event series supported by the City of Boston's Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture.

The lineup is local: spicy food vendors, hot sauce makers, chefs, urban farmers and craft beverage producers, with performers on the plaza through the day. The organizers describe it as a harvest festival, so expect fall produce alongside the heat. Vendor booths were sold out when we checked.

Tickets

General admission is free. New this year is the Taste of the Harvest bar lounge, serving farm-driven cocktails, local cider, wine and craft beer in two 21+ sessions, noon-3 pm and 3-6 pm, with VIP packages available. RSVP and lounge tickets are handled through the festival's Eventbrite page.

Where it is

City Hall Plaza sits between Government Center and Congress Street, across from Faneuil Hall Marketplace, so the festival pairs easily with a walk along the Freedom Trail or lunch in the North End. The plaza is outdoors and mostly brick, so dress for October weather.
