About
Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street opened in May 2019 in a 61-story tower designed by Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed with CambridgeSeven. At 724 feet it is the tallest residential building in New England and the third-tallest building in Boston. The hotel takes floors 8 to 21, with 214 rooms and suites, and private residences fill the floors above. It holds a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating.
This is the contemporary counterpart to the older Four Seasons on the Public Garden: floor-to-ceiling glass, a full wellness floor and two international restaurant names on the second floor. It suits travelers who want Back Bay as a base, near the Prudential Center, Newbury Street, the Hynes Convention Center and Symphony Hall, with Fenway Park about five minutes away by car. Logan Airport is about 4.3 miles, roughly 20 minutes by car.
Rooms and suites
Rooms and suites are built around floor-to-ceiling windows, so height is the point; guest rooms run from the 8th to the 21st floor. The circular Back Bay corner suites wrap the windows around the living room, the corner Cambridge Suite looks toward Cambridge and has a free-standing tub, and one suite has the hotel's only wraparound terrace. The reimagined Presidential Suite adds a full kitchen and views toward Fenway Park.
The Wellness Floor
The entire seventh floor is given to wellness. The 64-foot curved pool runs beside a wall of windows, is 3.8 feet deep, and has an underwater sound system and poolside food and drink. The fitness center was designed by trainer Harley Pasternak, and the spa has five treatment suites, including one for couples, with steam rooms in both locker rooms.
Getting around
A house car offers complimentary drop-offs within 2 miles of the hotel, and the concierge can book electric vehicles and airport limousines. The hotel's Canada Goose closet lends jackets for the length of your stay.
Restaurants, bars and spa
Zuma, the international Japanese izakaya-style restaurant and bar, occupies the second floor; Boston was its 12th location, and others include London, New York and Miami. It has a sushi counter, a robata grill and dishes designed to share, with lunch Wednesday to Friday, dinner nightly and a weekend brunch.
LPM Restaurant & Bar, also on the second floor, brings French Riviera cooking and a Belle Epoque-inspired room to Back Bay. It serves breakfast and dinner, with weekday lunch service being added this fall.
Trifecta is the lobby cocktail lounge, with drinks inspired by Boston neighborhoods and a dinner menu drawn from the New England coast. On weekends it hosts afternoon tea with J'enwey Tea blends, which requires a reservation.
The Spa on the Wellness Floor on the Wellness Floor offers massages and facials in five treatment suites. In-room dining runs 24 hours.
