BostonVacay.com (the "Website") is operated by Cloudalien Technologies LLC ("we," "us" or "our"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Website, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

  • Accounts and listings. If you register, claim or manage a business listing, we collect the details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, business details, photos and login credentials.
  • Messages and forms. Information you send us through our contact form, lead or inquiry forms, or reviews, including the content of your message.
  • Email sign-ups. If you sign up to receive email from us, your email address and your name, if you provide it.
  • Payments. If you buy a paid listing plan, payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of the transaction but do not store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage and device data. Pages visited, links clicked, referring pages, approximate location derived from your IP address, browser and device type, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Security and performance data. Our hosting and security providers process IP addresses and request details to deliver pages, block abuse and keep the Website secure.

How we use information

  • To run the Website, show business listings and respond to your requests.
  • To manage accounts, listing claims and paid plans.
  • To send email you asked for. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe.
  • To understand how the Website is used and improve it.

Third-party content and services

  • Google Maps. Maps and some place details on the Website are loaded from Google Maps Platform, and some listing photos come from Google Maps contributors, credited on the photo. Google receives your IP address and browser information when maps load. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Hosting and security. The Website runs on the Brilliant Directories platform and uses Cloudflare for content delivery and security.
  • External links. We link to business websites and other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Website (such as our hosting, email, analytics, payment and security providers), with affiliate partners as described above, when you ask us to (for example, sending an inquiry to a listed business), or when required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data retention

We keep account and listing information while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax and security purposes. We keep messages you send us for as long as needed to answer them and keep a record of our correspondence. If you unsubscribe from email, we keep a record of the unsubscribe so we do not email you again.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by sending a request through our contact form. Depending on where you live (for example, California or Colorado), you may have additional rights under state privacy laws; we will honor valid requests as those laws require.

Children

The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
