The Boston Veterans Parade is the City of Boston's annual parade honoring people who have served in the armed forces and those still serving. In 2026 it runs on Saturday, November 7, from noon to 3 pm, the weekend before Veterans Day.

Route

The parade starts at the Boston Public Library on Boylston Street in Back Bay and marches to the corner of Park and Tremont streets, finishing at City Hall Plaza. That takes it past Boston Common before it turns downtown, so there are long stretches of sidewalk for spectators.

Watching

The parade is free and open to everyone. Copley Square near the start and the Park Street corner of Boston Common near the end are natural places to watch; expect road closures along the route while the parade is moving.

Veterans and groups who want to march register through the City's Veterans Services office; the registration link is on the official event page.

Good to know

Early November in Boston is often cold and windy, especially in the shade of the downtown buildings, so dress in layers if you plan to stand for the full three hours. Veterans Day itself falls on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
