Peter Pan bus: the direct option

Peter Pan Bus Lines runs scheduled coaches between Providence and Boston Logan with no change needed. Heading to the airport, coaches drop off on the Departures (upper) level at Terminals A, B, C and E wherever possible.

Coming back, catch the bus on the Arrivals (lower) level outside each terminal by following the orange and white Scheduled Bus signs; the coach’s destination sign reads Providence. The pickup time on your ticket is for Terminal A, and Peter Pan says the bus can take 15 to 20 minutes to reach the other terminals. Check the current schedule and fares on Peter Pan’s website before you travel.

Train plus Silver Line

The MBTA Providence/Stoughton Line runs commuter trains from Providence station to Boston’s South Station. MBTA commuter rail fares depend on distance and run from $2.40 to $13.25 one way, and a $10 Commuter Rail Weekend Pass covers unlimited weekend rides. Amtrak trains also run from Providence to South Station.

At South Station, transfer to the Silver Line 1 (SL1) bus, which goes directly to every Logan terminal and stops at the curb. The SL1 is free only in the other direction, from the airport to downtown, so expect to pay the regular MBTA bus fare on the way to the airport.

A taxi or rideshare also goes door to door, but for this distance it is the most expensive choice, so get a quote before you book.
