Saint Anthony's Feast is the North End's largest Italian religious festival, held over the last weekend of August on Endicott, Thacher and North Margin streets. The 2027 feast, its 108th, runs Thursday, August 26 to Sunday, August 29, 2027. It is run by the Saint Anthony Society (San Antonio di Padova da Montefalcione), founded in Boston by Italian immigrants in 1919, together with the Saint Lucy Society.

What happens

The feast honors Saint Anthony and Saint Lucy with processions every day, religious services, strolling singers, live music on the main stage and a long run of food stands. It builds to the Grand Procession of Saint Anthony, which leaves at 11:30 am on the Sunday and lasts about ten hours through the neighborhood's streets. The society's chapel is open for donations throughout.

Getting there

Take the Green or Orange Line to North Station, exit on Causeway Street and walk toward the North End, entering the feast via Endicott Street, or use the Valenti Way exit and enter via Thacher Street. From Government Center (Green and Blue lines), walk across City Hall Plaza and the Greenway. Driving is hard that weekend; the North End Garage at 600 Commercial Street is closest.

The organizers list nearby hotels including Battery Wharf Hotel and the Boston Marriott Long Wharf. Regina Pizzeria's original Thacher Street shop sits on one of the feast streets.
